We had always expected that summer 2018 would be the most likely bet for DC to release Aquaman. It looks like we were slightly off the mark there as the release date has been revealed to be just a little later.
Jason Momoa is going to make a splash (I'm so funny) as Aquaman but not as soon as we were hoping for. It's not much a delay but we can now confirm that Warner Bros. have set the UK release date of Aquaman as October 2018, putting just less than a year after the release of Justice League, which is set for a November 2017 release.
Momoa is set to be joined by Wilem Dafoe as the potentially dangerous Vulko, we say potential as Vulko's relationship with Aquaman varies in the comics, and Amber Heard will be Mera, queen of Atlantis. We don't know a lot about what the plot will be but it's doubtful we'll be getting an origin story as we'll already have met Aquaman in Justice League.
Aquaman will be swimming into UK cinemas on 5th October 2018.
