The new Star Wars film’s release date has been brought forward to 15th December.
While Lucasfilm and Disney haven’t stated a reason for the date shift, the UK will now get to see the film a day earlier than planned alongside Austria, Brazil and Colombia. Which, let’s be honest, can only be a good thing - even if some European countries, like Belgium and Sweden, get to see it earlier still on 14th December (thanks, Brexit).
The USA and Canada will still have to wait until 16th December (the original release date), while China has to wait until January. Pretty rubbish news for them, but good news for us!
Rogue One sees Gareth Edwards directing and Felicity Jones, Diego Luna, Forest Whitaker, Donnie Yen and Alan Tudyk in the cast. And, of course, it will be arriving in UK cinemas on 15th December.
