Transformers: The Last Knight not only has a very impressive brand new cast lined up but is bringing back a returning cast of some favourite characters. It is now confirmed that Stanley Tucci will be returning to the giant robot fighting franchise.
Stanley Tucci played Joshua Joyce in the previous Transformers: Age of Extinction. An eccentric perfectionist and scientist who helmed the mass production of synthetic Transformers. He started off as an antagonist but redeemed himself by the end in true Tucci fashion. I'm a personal huge fan of “The Tucc” so having him return is something I'm very happy about.
Director Michael Bay has recently been spotted filming scenes in London for the new movie, which has also shot in Cuba, Arizona, Scotland and Michigan, with Chicago location work still to be completed. Not much is known about the story for this one, save the usual conflict between Optimus Prime's Autobots and Megatron's scheming Decepticons, but the story will apparently intersect with that of King Arthur, given Liam Garrigan's recent casting as the legendary warrior king. Huh, interesting.
Mark Wahlberg, Josh Duhamel and Tyrese Gibson are all set to return along with newcomers Isabela Moner, Laura Haddock, Jerrod Carmichael and Anthony Hopkins.
Transformers: The Last Knight will smash it's way into cinemas on 23rd June 2017.
