Kenneth Branagh's adaptation of Agatha Christie's Murder on the Orient Express is in talks with Tom Bateman to add him to its cast. The Jekyll & Hyde star would join stars including Branagh himself as well as Hamilton's Leslie Odom Jr.
Arguably Christie's seminal work, Murder tells the story of brilliant Inspector Poirot as he investigates a homicide that takes place in the next car over as the detective and his companion Bouc (whom Bateman is poised to play) travel from Jerusalem to Europe.
The film, which is being made by Fox, has Branagh acting a triple-threat as he will not only direct and star in the adaptation, but also produce it alongside Ridley Scott, Simon Kinberg and Mark Gordon.
Murder on the Orient Express is set for November 22nd 2017 release.
